Our dynamic and professional team in Eaux-Vives Geneva
At the Eaux-Vives dental clinic in Geneva, you will be cared for by a team of dynamic and experienced professionals.
“Becoming a dental surgeon was an obvious choice from an early age. It’s a passion that has guided my entire career, a passion fuelled on the one hand by the need to treat each patient with skill and empathy and on the other hand to contribute to their well-being. I am committed to my role as a carer on a daily basis, and my aim is to continue to improve so that I can always give the best of myself. Dr Catherine Cante, Head of Clinic
Slow Dentistry Global Network certified clinic
Like all CHD clinics, those in Geneva have been certified as members of the “Slow Dentistry Global Network“, a worldwide label belonging to the Foundation for Excellence in Dentistry, which rewards dental clinics that aim to offer care and services of the highest quality standards. CHD Genève is one of only 3 clinics in Switzerland to have been awarded this label. So don’t be surprised if we prefer to take our time with you, rather than chasing after patients all day long!
And that’s not all! CHD Genève have also managed to win the “Premium Dental Clinics” label, a prestigious award for excellence in dental care for a handful of dental clinics around the world!
To top it all off, our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint have earned us the “Greenviu” ecological qualification: saliva pumps made from sugar cane, blotting papers made from eco-friendly cellulose fibres… there are no limits – it’s up to us to rethink dental medicine for the planet and for our patients!
Our awards
CHD is proud to be the 1st clinic in Switzerland to be awarded the “Premium Dental Clinics” label for its excellent care, to be a certified member of the “Foundation for Excellence in Dentistry” and even to have been awarded the Greenviu label for its commitment to ecology! #thankstoyou

What our patients say
I went to the chd des eaux vives to have my 4 wisdom teeth removed. I was terrified and panicked before the operation, but Dr Hussein and his assistant Egzona were very attentive to my needs. They respected my needs and helped me to manage my stress. They were very caring and reassuring. The operation went really well, it wasn’t as bad as I’d imagined. I didn’t feel a thing! Their explanations were clear, and they were available for all my questions (I called 4 times in 1 day because I was so stressed). And if ever Dr Hussein likes sweets 😉

The history of CHD Clinique Hygiène Dentaire Eaux-Vives Genève
CHD was set up in 2016 by three partners: Thainara, Sofian and Robin, with one aim: to offer patients a warm place where everyone can go in complete confidence and be looked after in the best way possible.
Over the years, more and more patients have expressed the wish to have a CHD even closer to home.
This is why we opened a second dental centre in Geneva, this time on the left bank (the other clinic is on the right bank, between the Cornavin station and the United Nations).
4 other clinics are also available in Switzerland: two in Lausanne (Place de la Sallaz and under the Bessières bridge), one in Meyrin and one in Yverdon.

Can I come to the clinic without an emergency appointment?
The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 7am to 9pm (non-stop) and on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm. For routine treatment, patients can make an appointment in advance. However, in the event of a dental emergency in Geneva, contact CHD Genève Eaux-Vives by telephone and you will be attended to within 24 hours, on the same day at the latest.
How long does it take to get an appointment with a dentist?
The team at our dental surgery in Geneva – Eaux-Vives will do their utmost to arrange an appointment for you as soon as possible. Except in the case of dental emergencies, it usually takes a maximum of 3 days to see one of our specialists.
What happens during a dental cleaning session at the clinic?
At Clinique Hygiène Dentaire, a hygienist performs scaling using two techniques: the traditional method, performed by hand using high-precision curettes from the Swiss brand Deppeler, and/or ultrasound.
After dental cleaning, the hygienist also polishes your teeth to give them a smooth, shiny surface using Airflow aeropolishing technology. Our hygienists also use the EMS GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) technique.
What types of aesthetic dentistry are available?
In addition to ‘traditional’ dental care, CHD also offers cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening and veneers, as well as bichectomy, which allows you to sculpt your face.
How are cavities treated at the clinic?
When you have a cavity that needs to be dealt with, our dentists use the composite resin reconstruction technique to rebuild the part of the tooth affected by the cavity: a kind of composite sculpture that reproduces the characteristics of a natural tooth in every respect.
If the decay is too deep, it becomes necessary to treat the root (devitalisation), and if it is too extensive, it is necessary to opt for another solution, such as inlays-onlays.
What orthodontic options are available for adults and kids?
We offer orthodontic techniques in Geneva that are suitable for the whole family.
For kids, as for adults, there are several possible options, depending on the corrections to be made (and the patient’s budget): removable braces, rings (conventional or lingual), or even Invisalign aligners (more common, however, with teenagers or adults).
How are dental check-ups carried out between dentists and hygienists?
Dental care between dentist and hygienist is a very natural process. At the Geneva Eaux-Vives dental centre, our hygienists and dentists work together to provide you with the best possible care.
In this way, your file is known to one or other of the practitioners when you are referred to them for further treatment. Once the dentist’s work is done, it’s up to the hygienist to advise you on the next steps to take. But to avoid an appointment with the dentist, remember to consult a dental hygienist at least once a year, as a preventive measure.
Don’t forget that dental check-ups with a dentist are part of a child’s education and should start as early as the age of 3 (as for tooth brushing, it should be started as soon as baby’s first milk tooth comes through. Don’t wait until all the baby teeth have come through).
What are the values that guide our choice of associations?
At CHD, we are convinced that prevention is the key to improving dental hygiene for everyone, and more broadly, to improving the health and well-being of everyone. It is around this core value that we are committed to associations such as Octobre Rose to fight breast cancer, Patouch, whose mission is to prevent violence against children, as well as the Red Cross, blood donation and Émissions Carbone.
